If I go east where the sun rises… even there you will take my hand and lead me. Psalms 139:9-10 ERV

Reaching out to God in 2023

‘Prayer is the very heartbeat of the Church and therefore vital to its life and health! Pray 2-3 will enable the District to rediscover this ancient truth by praying more often, more creatively and in ways we had never imagined. I commend the initiative to you all!’

  • Creative Prayer Workshops

Would you like our local Methodist Network Rep, Jenna Thorne, to visit your church with an interactive creative prayer workshop?

    What’s it about?

The Creative Prayer Workshop explores art as a form of prayer and self-expression in God’s presence – allowing us to connect with God, ourselves and each other.

This is explored experientially, by ‘doing’ – the workshop is gentle, inclusive, and for everyone, you don’t need to consider yourself “creative” to come along

The workshop includes elements of gentle movement, visual art, and music and are for groups of around 10-15 people

    Who is leading it?

Workshops are led by experienced therapeutic arts workshop practitioner, Jenna Thorne of the Methodist Learning Network, and Artistic Director of therapeutic arts charity, Talitha Arts.

    Sessions last 90 minutes.

If you’d like to take up the offer and book a visit in, please drop Jenna an email thornej@methodistchurch.org.uk
